GENERAL FUNCTION

The Strategic Account Manager - Distribution is a seasoned sales consultant, adept at partnering with major clients to unlock their full potential within the Nassau OOGP Vision group and EssilorLuxottica distribution services. This role involves navigating complex market dynamics, ethically negotiating partnerships, and securing profitable long-term customer commitments. The focus is on driving revenue growth from Eye Care Professional segments, including alliances, multi-unit group practices, and buy-and-supply/buy-and-merge strategies through customer penetration, prospecting, nurturing accounts, and optimizing product offerings within designated regions.

Responsibilities include executing acquisition initiatives through both independent and collaborative efforts to meet sales and profit objectives. The manager will oversee assigned customer headquarters responsibilities, including conducting quarterly business reviews, serving as the primary point of contact, and managing negotiations and contracts.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and expand a $9-13M portfolio, cultivating relationships with key partners and capitalizing on significant opportunities.
  • Effectively manage territory within budgetary constraints and utilize company marketing resources.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors, District Sales Managers, and Account Executives across all EssilorLuxottica channels to develop growth strategies for customer groups.
  • Conduct periodic reviews (monthly, quarterly) with sales leadership across channels, detailing progress with Strategic Account customer groups.
  • Work in partnership with the broader Eye Care Professional sales organization to align efforts and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage pricing strategies and execution within assigned accounts.
  • Support the marketing department with insights on the competitive landscape and effectiveness of competitor programs, recommending counter strategies as necessary.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, Strategic Account team meetings, customer meetings, and conferences as required.
  • Propose growth and service strategies to sales leadership, maximizing acquisition opportunities while minimizing losses with assigned customers.
  • Ensure customer needs are effectively represented in leadership discussions.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders at EssilorLuxottica to enhance service delivery to external customers.
  • Document all Strategic Account customer interactions, commitments, and significant communications through the company CRM system.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks and reports punctually.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a laboratory, eyecare industry, contact lens, or brand sales consulting role.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing business and action plans for key accounts or major customers.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive with a strong ability to follow through on commitments and communications.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts and the impact of sales activities on profit and loss.
  • Demonstrated capability to work both independently and as part of a frontline sales team.

​Pay Range: 74, ,963.02

Employee compensation is determined by various factors, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Additionally, competitive bonus and/or commission plans may be offered, complementing a comprehensive total rewards package.
