Position Overview

At Cencora, our commitment to fostering healthier futures is reflected in every role we offer. We are currently seeking a dedicated and meticulous professional to fill the position of Internal Audit Lead.

This pivotal role involves assessing and enhancing our internal control frameworks, risk management strategies, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage internal audit assignments, ensuring thorough planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluate control frameworks across various business units.
  • Develop detailed audit programs to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Engage in fieldwork, including interviews, data analysis, and documentation of findings.
  • Identify control weaknesses and process inefficiencies that may expose the organization to risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive workpapers that clearly document audit results.
  • Assist in reviewing audit documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for enhancing control effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management to formulate action plans addressing identified deficiencies.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality draft audit reports are produced.
  • Monitor the implementation of management action plans to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with Cencora's management and staff within your areas of responsibility.
  • Offer ongoing feedback to team members regarding their performance and work completion.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in internal auditing.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and training materials related to internal audit functions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant audit experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech sectors.
  • Active professional certification in at least one area (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CMA).
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and time management.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
