Your Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Senior Internal Auditor. In this position, you will be essential in assessing the efficiency of our internal controls, risk management strategies, and adherence to regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with various levels of personnel and external stakeholders to comprehend business operations.
  • Conducting intricate audits following established protocols and standards.
  • Performing interviews, collecting relevant documentation, executing tests, and recording findings during audit procedures.
  • Assessing the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Identifying weaknesses in controls or inefficiencies in processes that may lead to risks or non-compliance, along with their root causes and potential solutions.
  • Preparing comprehensive and well-supported documentation of audit results.
  • Collaborating closely with leadership across Internal Controls, Operations, Business Units, and IT to address financial or operational control challenges.
  • Keeping Internal Audit management updated on audit progress, challenges, and potential findings.
  • Contributing to the Internal Audit department's reputation as a trusted partner within the organization.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, emerging risks, and best practices in internal auditing.
  • Assisting with other departmental projects as needed.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant audit experience, whether in internal audit or public accounting.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • An active professional certification in at least one area (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CMA) is preferred.

Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate:

  • Flexibility in prioritizing tasks and reallocating work as necessary.
  • A strong understanding of risks, processes, and controls across financial, operational, and compliance domains.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Innovative thinking and adaptability to change.
  • Strong project management and time management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with modern audit and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP systems and data analysis software (e.g., Alteryx or Power BI) is a plus.
