Position OverviewWe are in search of a meticulous and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Internal Auditor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing and enhancing our internal control frameworks, risk management strategies, and adherence to relevant regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead comprehensive audit engagements, ensuring thorough planning, execution, and reporting.
- Conduct risk assessments across various business units to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement detailed audit programs to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Gather and analyze data, conduct interviews, and document findings during audit activities.
- Identify and report on control weaknesses or inefficiencies that may pose risks.
- Prepare well-structured workpapers that clearly document audit conclusions.
- Collaborate with management to formulate action plans addressing identified deficiencies.
- Ensure timely and high-quality draft audit reports are produced.
- Monitor the implementation of management's action plans to resolve identified issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Cencora's management and staff.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing.
- Assist in the creation of policies, procedures, and training materials related to internal audit functions.
- Be open to travel as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of relevant audit experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech sectors.
- Active professional certification in at least one area (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CMA).
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and think innovatively.
- Proficiency in project management and time management.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and data analytics tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
