Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a seasoned and knowledgeable professional to join our team as a Senior Internal Auditor. In this pivotal role, you will assess the efficiency of our internal controls, risk management frameworks, and adherence to relevant regulations and policies. Your responsibilities will include conducting intricate audits and offering insightful recommendations aimed at improving operational performance and minimizing risks.

  • Engage with various levels of company personnel and executives, external client representatives, vendors, and other stakeholders to comprehend business operations.
  • Participate in comprehensive audits following established auditing protocols and standards.
  • Conduct interviews, collect supporting documentation, execute testing, and document findings during audit fieldwork in line with departmental standards.
  • Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant internal policies, laws, or regulations.
  • Identify control weaknesses or process inefficiencies that may lead to risks or non-compliance, along with associated root causes and actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported workpapers that document audit findings.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership in Internal Controls, Operations, Business Units, and IT departments to address financial or operational control challenges.
  • Keep Internal Audit management proactively informed about the audit's status, challenges, opportunities, and potential findings.
  • Actively contribute to establishing the Internal Audit department as a respected and valued partner within the organization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging risks, and best practices in internal auditing.
  • Assist with other internal departmental projects as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10-15% of the time.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant audit experience, either in internal audit or public accounting, is essential. Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech sectors is preferred but not mandatory. An active professional certification in at least one area (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.

  • Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks, recommending the allocation or reallocation of work among team members as needed.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of risks, processes, and controls across financial, operational, and compliance domains.
  • Exhibits well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Is an innovative thinker, adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  • Exhibits strong project management, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Comfortable with contemporary audit and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Has a working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP systems and proficiency in PC-based spreadsheet and/or data analytic software (such as Alteryx or Power BI) is a plus.
