Senior Compliance Business Analyst

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Senior Compliance Business Analyst to join our Business Management division. In this role, you will operate autonomously to support the Policy & Assurance functions related to acquisitions, ensuring that contracting activities are compliant and effectively connect resources to research initiatives. This position involves a structured on-site schedule with every other Friday off, located at our facility.
As a recognized authority in compliance, you will serve as the designated lead for coordinating assessment and assurance activities within the Acquisition & Contracts Management Organization, reporting directly to the Manager of Policy & Assurance.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Department Manager on critical decisions regarding hiring, performance evaluations, and strategic direction, while exercising significant discretion in setting goals and methodologies for assignments.
- Conduct thorough assessments to verify compliance with established policies and support benchmarking initiatives with other laboratories to ensure alignment on best practices, while also developing and delivering training programs for staff.
- Your compliance duties will encompass the formulation of compliance strategies, enhancement of the compliance program, execution of internal assessments, analysis of compliance data to manage and mitigate risks, and facilitation of internal and external audits.
- Engage with acquisitions, finance, business offices, internal audit, records management, and other pertinent organizations to streamline internal processes.
- Maintain meticulous documentation to substantiate decisions, conclusions, findings, and recommendations.
- Safeguard INL's interests by identifying and evaluating risks, proposing and implementing process improvements, and pinpointing areas where automation could enhance current workflows.
- Tackle diverse challenges that require a comprehensive analysis of information and evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Develop innovative solutions based on limited information and adapt existing strategies to resolve complex issues.
- Utilize evaluation, judgment, and interpretation skills to determine the most effective course of action.
- Identify and establish procedures to optimize the efficiency of the business operations supported.
Minimum Requirements: LP Level 3 - Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience. LP Level 4 - Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with managers and employees across all levels.
- Ensure compliance of files, contracts, and Procurement Summaries with established policies.
- Currently possess or be capable of obtaining a Qualified Assessors Certification.
- The salary range for this position is: Level 3 - Salary grade 430 ($63,528 - $130,284) / Level 4 - Salary grade 440 ($75,804 - $155,496). Compensation decisions are based on factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
