Job Overview

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Senior Compliance Business Analyst to join our Business Management division. In this role, you will operate autonomously to enhance acquisition Policy & Assurance functions, ensuring that contracting activities are compliant and effectively link resources to research initiatives. This position is based on-site with a 9x80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off.

As a recognized authority in compliance, you will serve as the designated lead for coordinating assessment and assurance activities within the Acquisition & Contracts Management Organization, reporting directly to the Manager of Policy & Assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager on employee recruitment, performance evaluations, and other HR-related decisions, exercising significant discretion in setting goals and strategies for the compliance team.
  • Conduct assessments to verify adherence to policies and support benchmarking with other organizations to establish best practices, while also developing and delivering training programs for staff.
  • Your compliance duties will encompass the formulation of compliance strategies, advancement of the compliance program, execution of internal assessments, analysis of compliance data to manage risks, and facilitation of internal and external audits.
  • Engage with acquisitions, finance, business offices, internal audit, records management, and other relevant departments to streamline internal processes.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation to substantiate decisions, conclusions, findings, and recommendations.
  • Safeguard INL's interests by identifying and evaluating risks, proposing and implementing process enhancements, and pinpointing areas where automation can optimize current workflows.
  • Tackle diverse problems that require thorough analysis of identifiable factors.
  • Develop solutions based on limited information and existing precedents, adapting current methodologies to address challenges.
  • Utilize evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to determine the most effective course of action.
  • Identify and create procedures aimed at maximizing business efficiencies.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • LP Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • LP Level 4: Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with managers and employees across all levels.
  • Proficiency in verifying compliance of files, contracts, and Procurement Summaries with established policies.
  • Current possession or capability to obtain a Qualified Assessors Certification.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range for this position is: Level 3 - Salary grade 430 ($63,528 - $130,284) / Level 4 - Salary grade 440 ($75,804 - $155,496).
