Position Overview:

The Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Control Systems to enhance our Cybercore Analysis division. This role operates on a 9x80 schedule, providing a balanced work-life dynamic with alternating Fridays off. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Analysis department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations of cyber threats targeting industrial control systems utilized across various sectors, including military and critical infrastructure.
  • Utilize your expertise in intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, and engineering to contribute as an individual expert.
  • Lead collaborative initiatives involving fellow analysts, control systems professionals, power engineers, and cyber researchers to achieve a diverse range of technical objectives.
  • Transform complex information into clear, concise reports, presentations, and strategic documents tailored for non-technical stakeholders, leveraging your knowledge of engineering or computer science.
  • Integrate technical skills with threat assessment to mitigate cyber threats aimed at industrial control systems within essential infrastructures, such as the electrical grid, oil and gas pipelines, and military facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5-9 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 2-6 years, or Doctorate with 2-4 years; equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Preferred: A portfolio of published analyses on cybersecurity or industrial control systems within critical infrastructure.
  • Experience in intelligence analysis and authorship of reports for governmental entities is highly regarded.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance and SCI, requiring U.S. citizenship.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: Level 3 ($91,008 - $186,588) / Level 4 ($109,260 - $223,908), determined by education, experience, and qualifications.
