Position Summary:

The Events Management Specialist plays a crucial role within the Global Events Team. This position is responsible for orchestrating internal and branded client events throughout Europe, while also crafting and executing a comprehensive event strategy tailored for the UKI market. The focus will be on events that foster deeper engagement and align with business goals. Collaboration with the UKI Market Leader, OW Forum Executive Team, and UK Marketing Head is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute an annual event strategy for the UKI Market, encompassing a variety of events such as intimate dinners, roundtables, networking gatherings, corporate hospitality, and multi-day sponsored conferences.
  • Spearhead the planning of meetings and events, establishing a clear vision while overseeing the ideation, planning, and execution phases in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, travel arrangements, invitations, registrations, event setup, and audiovisual production.
  • Manage budgets and expenses associated with all events under your purview.
  • Provide expert consultancy to business teams, guiding them on event planning and adherence to firm guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to align event initiatives with their marketing campaigns.
  • Assist the Events Director with regional and global initiatives as needed.
  • Independently execute various strategic projects within the UKI market as required.
  • Integrate innovative trends and best practices in the industry to enhance event designs and elevate standards.
  • Cultivate vendor relationships across multiple service areas, from procurement to contract negotiations.
  • Supervise a team of event planners and coordinators, providing performance management, training, and oversight of event projects.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of international event management experience, encompassing a diverse range of large-scale events such as conferences, group meetings, networking events, and virtual engagements.
  • Proven experience in coaching team members and leading project teams.
  • Previous experience in event management within the consulting or professional services sector is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong familiarity with event management software and technology platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, and MS Teams.
