POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering HR administrative support and managing employee relations. This includes overseeing benefits administration, managing personnel records, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality, ensuring employee privacy and company integrity.
  • Maintain the HR Information System (HRIS) by updating employee records and processing personnel changes.
  • Conduct employment and background checks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Provide clear explanations and assistance regarding employee benefits and HR policies.
  • Support the investigation of employee complaints and concerns.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Participate in local recruitment initiatives, representing the company at various events.
  • Assist in organizing special projects and events, including performance reviews and training sessions.
  • Ensure employee files are maintained according to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the business unit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources.
  • PHR certification is a plus.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience is acceptable.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Oracle and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated and a proactive team player.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and external partners.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Typical office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing.
  • Noise levels may vary, with occasional loud environments.
  • May require lifting of up to 30 lbs.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $57,300.00 - $75,200.00 annually. This range reflects the expected salary for candidates meeting the qualifications outlined in this job description, with variations based on location, experience, skills, and education.
