Position Overview:
Oliver Wyman, a premier entity in management consulting, is seeking an Events Manager to play a pivotal role within the OW Global Events Team. This position is focused on orchestrating internal and OW branded client events throughout Europe, while also crafting and executing a comprehensive event strategy tailored for the UKI market. The aim is to enhance engagement and fulfill business objectives through meticulously planned events.Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute an annual event strategy for the UKI Market, encompassing a variety of events such as intimate dinners, roundtables, networking gatherings, corporate hospitality, and multi-day sponsored conferences.
- Oversee the planning and execution of meetings and events, establishing a clear vision and guiding the ideation, planning, and execution processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Manage all logistical elements of events, including venue selection, travel arrangements, invitations, registrations, event setup, and audio-visual production.
- Take ownership of budgets and financial management for all events under your purview.
- Provide expert consultancy to business teams, advising on event planning and adherence to firm guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to align event strategies with marketing campaigns.
- Assist the Events Director with regional and global initiatives as required.
- Independently execute strategic projects within the UKI market as needed.
- Implement innovative trends and best practices in the events industry to enhance event design and quality.
- Manage vendor relationships, from procurement to contract negotiations.
- Supervise a team of event planners and coordinators, focusing on performance management, training, and project oversight.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of international event management experience, covering a wide range of large-scale events such as conferences, group meetings, networking events, and virtual engagements.
- Proven experience in coaching team members and leading project teams.
- Previous experience in Events Management within the management consulting or professional services sector is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
