POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Asset Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the lifecycle of IT resources, liaising with external suppliers, facilitating financial processes related to IT acquisitions, and ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines. This entry-level role demands excellent organizational capabilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with diverse teams across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates the procurement of IT equipment and software by engaging with external suppliers.
  • Collaborates with finance teams to ensure accurate coding and timely payment of IT-related expenses.
  • Supplies management with essential updates regarding asset status.
  • Engages with the Help Desk and Infrastructure teams, as well as internal stakeholders receiving new IT assets.
  • Documents and organizes returned items under warranty for repair or refurbishment in line with warranty terms.
  • Assists in verifying compliance with testing, repairing, and inspecting refurbished PCs and associated devices.
  • Supports inventory oversight for necessary materials and supplies to meet daily operational demands.
  • Procures consumable supplies and materials as instructed.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Fundamental knowledge of IT hardware and software.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma preferred, with a keen interest in further education.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position involves minimal to moderate physical activity, including handling items weighing up to 15 pounds, occasional standing or walking, and frequent use of a keyboard or workstation.
