POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Operations Specialist is tasked with delivering comprehensive HR administrative support and facilitating effective people management strategies. This includes overseeing benefits administration, managing leave requests, maintaining personnel records, and executing various HR functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality, ensuring employee privacy while upholding company standards.
  • Maintain and update the internal HRIS and other electronic service systems by processing employee changes, ensuring accurate documentation for payroll and benefits.
  • Conduct employment and background checks, including E-Verify processes.
  • Provide clear explanations and responses to employee questions about benefits and HR policies, assisting in the resolution of HR-related issues.
  • Support the investigation of employee complaints and concerns.
  • Facilitate new hire orientations, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in local recruitment initiatives, coordinating and representing the company at various events.
  • Help organize special projects and events, such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations by maintaining employee personnel files and adhering to record retention protocols.
  • This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities that may evolve based on the needs of the business unit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • PHR certification is a plus.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
  • High level of discretion and interpersonal skills to manage sensitive personnel matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Oracle and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Professional interaction with all levels of staff, management, vendors, and clients.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Typical office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing.
  • Work is primarily indoors, with standard office lighting and climate control.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs may be necessary.

SALARY RANGE: $57,300.00 - $75,200.00 annually. This range reflects our expected compensation for candidates who meet the outlined qualifications and requirements. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and education.
