POSITION OVERVIEWThe HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering administrative and personnel management support. This includes overseeing benefits administration, managing leave requests, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring efficient database management, along with other essential HR functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding HR matters.
- Handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism, ensuring employee confidentiality and company privacy.
- Maintain the internal HRIS and other electronic service systems by accurately entering employee changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, etc.) and updating personnel files for payroll and benefits processing.
- Manage the employment verification process, including background checks and E-Verify compliance.
- Provide clear explanations and responses to employee questions regarding benefits and HR policies, assisting in the resolution of HR-related issues.
- Support the investigation of employee complaints and concerns.
- Conduct new hire orientations, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly.
- Assist in local recruitment initiatives, including event coordination and representation of the company.
- Coordinate special projects and events, such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition, performance evaluations, and training sessions.
- Maintain employee personnel files in accordance with company policies and legal regulations, ensuring proper record retention.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on the evolving needs of the business unit.
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources is required.
- PHR certification is a plus.
- A combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- High level of discretion and interpersonal skills to manage sensitive personnel matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with Oracle and SharePoint is preferred.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively while adapting to changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating effective teamwork.
- Professional interaction with all levels of employees, including management and staff, as well as vendors and clients.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
- Standard office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing.
- Noise levels are generally low to moderate, with potential for higher levels on job sites.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs may be required.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $57,300.00 - $75,200.00 annually. This range reflects the expected pay for candidates who meet the qualifications outlined in this job description. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, skills, and education.
