Work Schedule:
Onsite Monday – Friday, 5am – 1:30pm

Position Overview:

  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and team to establish and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all designated tasks.
  • Engage in the planning of product runs and identify opportunities to enhance overall efficiency in the roasting and packaging operations.
  • Monitor and report on critical performance metrics for roasting and packaging lines.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires, focusing on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
  • Verify the training status of employees to ensure compliance.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
  • Promote safety by leading kickoff meetings, participating in safety discussions, and acting as a safety advocate. Promptly identify and report any safety concerns.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing team members within the department.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to improve individual and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Address machine operation issues by escalating them to Maintenance and/or the Production Manager as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and HR on personnel matters, including performance reviews and employee counseling.
  • Work with HR to manage daily time entries and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Conduct audits and verification activities as requested by management.
  • Participate in daily testing and production meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing technologies, processes, and principles is preferred.
  • This role involves direct supervision of staff, working closely with Packers and Pack Machine Operators.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and safely.
  • Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements to work processes and procedures.
