About the Role:

The Process Excellence Manager is a key leader in the success of our process and production at PURIS Proteins. This individual is committed to the Safety of our Team and Products. The Process Excellence Manager will manage a team of 8-10 technicians, providing hands-on development and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by seeking feedback and implementing best practices.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support team and organizational goals.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources and manage budgets to support team initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Collaborates with the EHS, Quality and Engineering Teams to develop and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Team Development: Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance improvement plans when necessary and handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Team Building: Organize team-building activities and events to strengthen team cohesion and collaboration.
  • Goal Setting: Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Career Development: Support career development initiatives and succession planning within the team.
  • Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Safety Concerns: Address and resolve safety concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Production Oversight: Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and mediate conflicts within the team promptly and fairly.
  • Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and collaboration among team members.
  • Employee Support: Handle employee grievances and concerns in a timely and confidential manner.

Requirements:

  • Safety Leadership: Strong safety knowledge and leadership.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and process orientation.
  • Process Documentation: Experience in developing various process documentation (SOP's, work directions, etc.).
  • Leadership and Management: Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Collaboration and Change Management: Demonstrated success collaborating with others and leading process change.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a continuous production facility, preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in food production and sanitary equipment design, preferred.
  • Lean Principles: Understanding of Lean principles, preferred.
