Position Overview

The Process Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing our production and operational efficiency at PURIS. This position is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our workforce and the quality of our products. The supervisor will lead a team of 8-10 technicians, focusing on hands-on training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture centered around safety and continuous improvement.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of equipment functionality and unit processes.
  • Work closely with production staff to enhance their skills and empower them to identify and resolve safety and operational challenges.
  • Analyze process disruptions and apply problem-solving methods to uncover root causes.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to initiate and execute Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Create, oversee, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure uniform operations across all shifts.
  • Manage employee schedules, including timecard approvals, job assignments, training, and leave requests.
  • Assist in covering production staff during vacations.
  • Partner with the Production Manager to set personal objectives for the production team and provide ongoing feedback through coaching and evaluations.
  • Uphold and promote adherence to all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments to identify and resolve operational challenges, enhancing overall process performance.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and leadership skills.
  • Proficient analytical abilities with a focus on process improvement.
  • Experience in creating various process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
  • Exceptional leadership and management capabilities.
  • Proven track record of collaboration and leading process enhancements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a continuous production environment is preferred.
  • Experience in food production and sanitary equipment design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles is preferred.
