Overview:

The Process Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes at PURIS. This position is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for both our team and our products. The Supervisor will lead a team of 8-10 technicians, focusing on hands-on training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture centered around safety that encourages empowerment and ongoing improvement.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of equipment operations and unit processes.
  • Engage directly with production staff to enhance their skills and create a knowledgeable team capable of identifying and resolving safety and operational challenges.
  • Analyze process disruptions and apply problem-solving strategies to identify root causes.
  • Work in conjunction with EHS, Quality, and Engineering teams to initiate and execute Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Develop, oversee, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent operations across all shifts.
  • Manage employee schedules, including timecard approvals, work assignments, job rotations, training, and leave management.
  • Assist in covering for production staff during absences.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to set personal objectives for production staff and provide ongoing feedback through coaching and evaluations.
  • Uphold and promote adherence to all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments to identify and resolve challenges, enhancing overall process performance.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and leadership principles.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in creating various process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with teams and leading process improvements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a continuous production environment is preferred.
  • Experience in food production and sanitary equipment design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles is preferred.
