About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lubrication Specialist to join our team at PURIS. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant's machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create lubricant specifications for various types of machines and equipment.
  • Optimize, implement, and manage lubrication programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Select and apply lubricants, taking into account factors such as temperature, load, and speed.
  • Identify and prevent lubricant contamination, and design and implement effective storage and handling systems.
  • Execute and document planned lubrication activities and tasks, and troubleshoot common lubrication-related problems.
  • Collect and manage samples for analysis, and review and address oil analysis findings to recommend current and future maintenance actions.
  • Document discrepancies and conditions that require corrective, predictive, or planned maintenance, and recommend equipment modifications to facilitate lubrication, inspection, oil analysis, and contamination control.
  • Coordinate inventory and routine ordering of products, and manage key metrics for the lubrication program.
  • Maintain equipment within the program, such as filter carts, refillable/sealable portable lubricant containers, hydraulic reservoirs, etc.
  • Act as the key point of contact for lubrication-related issues, and diagnose problems using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify equipment as directed, following established requirements for GMP, safety, and other procedures.
  • Respond to operator calls, take appropriate action, and follow up, and install new equipment and make major modifications when supplied with instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all types of production equipment, systems, and controls, and operate equipment in the Maintenance Department.
  • Seek assistance from others as needed, and support the Maintenance Planner in developing job plans, including materials, steps, duration, coordination, etc.
  • Assist in ensuring everything is on hand and ready when the job is scheduled to begin, and seek out and recommend equipment and process improvements.
  • Conduct on-the-job training, and assist other technicians as needed, and work with vendors and service suppliers regarding equipment parts and supplies.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned, and provide team leadership, directing the work of other maintenance personnel as assigned.
  • Use human relations and leadership skills to solve non-complex employee relations problems and issues associated with cooperation, team building, job assignments, etc.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Machinery Lubrication Technician or Analyst (MLT or MLA) II or STLE certification.
  • 5+ years of applicable industrial maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge equivalent to two-year Technical School courses in at least one trade.
  • Detailed knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, switchgear, etc.
  • Good reading, writing, math, and administrative skills.
  • Moderate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CMMS.
  • Ability to work well independently.
