Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for a Power Generation facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for guiding the commissioning processes and ensuring operational excellence within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer expert guidance to plant personnel to ensure adherence to compliance tasks as outlined in the Power Generation modification protocols.
  • Lead causal analysis initiatives and support investigations related to equipment failures, environmental compliance, and operational incidents.
  • Manage projects with a focus on technical oversight and execution.
  • Coordinate capital improvement and operational projects, collaborating with production, maintenance, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with the plant modification process throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for maintenance and equipment issues to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Oversee engineering activities conducted by external firms, including scope development, proposal evaluations, project planning, and installation support.
  • Assist in improving plant processes and support staff in creating action plans to address identified gaps.
  • Lead efforts to enhance reliability through the Boiler Tube Failure Reduction (BTFR) initiative.
  • Ensure availability of technical resources to support daily operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver expert consultation on critical equipment, including turbines, generators, and boilers.
  • Facilitate interactions with equipment Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Provide engineering support for modifications to plant systems.
  • Manage all engineering programs at the Power Generation site, including program development and technical database management.
  • Participate in and lead commissioning activities for the Power Generation facility.
  • Revise and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with site leadership directives.
  • Conduct training sessions for site personnel as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience:
  • Engineer II: 2 - 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Engineer III: 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Engineer: 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in Power Plant operations.
    • Knowledge of NERC requirements and processes; the candidate will act as the NERC Champion for the facility.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Exhibit strong engineering judgment.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant procedures and standards.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in commissioning processes.
    • Proficient in project management and technical reviews.
Certificates and Licenses:
  • No specific certifications required.
Working Conditions:
