The People Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. In this capacity, you will oversee daily HR functions and serve as the primary liaison for client employees regarding human resources matters.

Work Schedule/Expectations

This role is designed for remote work, allowing flexibility in your schedule. However, the People Operations Manager must be readily available to address client needs, which may occasionally require early morning or evening support. Prompt responsiveness is essential to maintain client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic direction, administration, coordination, and execution of HR functions for each client.
  • Adapt to various client needs with a flexible approach, ensuring comprehensive HR support.
  • Provide continuous performance coaching and constructive feedback to leadership on communication, management styles, and employee relations.
  • Manage all tactical HR requirements, including payroll for select clients.
  • Make informed decisions and provide consistent counsel to management and team members to foster a productive work environment.
  • Educate and guide management on employment laws, HR policies, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assist management in resolving employee relations issues and performance challenges.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace disputes and ensure proper documentation and corrective actions are taken.
  • Advise on compensation and benefits strategies, including incentive plan design and salary benchmarking.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and identify potential legal risks, providing recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with all team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of building relationships and earning the trust of client groups. A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 6 years of HR experience across multiple industries, is required. Expertise in employee relations is essential, and experience with payroll processing is preferred. Strong consulting skills and a history of success in client-facing roles are necessary, along with a deep understanding of labor laws and HR technology.
