Role Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the internal systems of the tent division, ensuring that all necessary resources are available for the successful planning and execution of tented events across various locations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the internal inventory system to ensure accurate product availability.
  • Collaborating with operations to maintain precise inventory counts.
  • Addressing overbooking challenges and making informed purchasing recommendations.
  • Activating subrentals as required and analyzing product return on investment.
  • Updating pricing guides in response to market fluctuations.
  • Facilitating logistical needs for special projects and managing project-specific inventory movements.

Maintaining an accurate inventory system and understanding the inventory process is vital for effective project planning and sales. The Inventory Control Coordinator will also focus on enhancing the accuracy of information collected for the Sales Team, ensuring the smooth execution of tented events. This position requires a full workweek in the office, with occasional weekend hours and travel as necessary.

Daily Tasks

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the tenting process and the requirements for executing tented events.
  • Monitoring confirmed projects within the rental software to ensure accuracy and prevent overbooking.
  • Communicating inventory challenges to management.
  • Establishing systems to measure product ROI and utilization.
  • Organizing project-related purchases and subrentals to align with company objectives.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory management, preferably across multiple locations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
