Role Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the internal systems of the tent division, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for the successful planning and execution of tented events across various locations. Key responsibilities include managing the internal inventory system, collaborating with operations to maintain accurate inventory counts, addressing overbooking challenges, and making informed purchasing recommendations. This position also involves activating subrentals as needed, analyzing product return on investment (ROI), and updating pricing guides in response to market fluctuations.
Additionally, the Inventory Control Coordinator will assist with logistical needs related to special projects and the movement of inventory specific to those projects. Accurate inventory management and a comprehensive understanding of the inventory process are essential for optimizing project planning and sales.
Daily Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of the tenting process and the necessary measures for executing tented events.
- Monitor confirmed projects in the company's rental software to ensure accuracy and assess equipment overbooking.
- Communicate inventory challenges to the VP of Sales.
- Maintain systems for tracking product ROI and utilization.
- Organize and manage project-related purchases and subrentals to align with company objectives.
- Ensure all relevant data for projects is collected and organized efficiently.
- Maintain a positive attitude and uphold high standards of customer service.
- Foster collaborative relationships with the General Equipment Team as necessary.
- Implement processes to ensure products meet company specifications upon order and receipt.
- Oversee inventory allocation across locations and improve par levels continuously.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in inventory management, preferably across multiple locations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
- Experience in a related field is preferred.
