Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Sirtex Medical. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory levels, processing purchasing requisitions, and providing sourcing recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to determine reordering needs and control inventory levels through data-driven forecasting.
  • Process internal purchasing requisitions for materials and services, ensuring compliance with approved supplier lists and internal specifications.
  • Provide sourcing recommendations for materials and services, leveraging approved supplier lists and industry expertise.
  • Assist with sourcing and onboarding new suppliers, ensuring seamless integration into our procurement processes.
  • Manage purchases by monitoring expected deliveries, expediting or adjusting as necessary to meet inventory levels.
  • Verify receipt of items against purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies with the receiving department or suppliers.
  • Authorize and reconcile payments for purchases, ensuring accurate verification of receipts.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, adhering to specified filing procedures and release processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in SAP purchasing modules and material master.
  • Previous experience working in a medical manufacturing facility or with FDA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or buyer role.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
