Your Role
The Lead Architectural Project Manager is a licensed professional responsible for ensuring public health, safety, and welfare. This role demands a comprehensive skill set and diverse experience, with a focus on overseeing complex tasks and small-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sketches, drawings, codes, and building programs to inform project direction.
  • Employ BIM technologies to create detailed three-dimensional models of structures and their components.
  • Draft and modify documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections.
  • Interpret and enforce building codes, energy regulations, and compliance requirements from regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in coordinating permit requirements for municipal building permit submissions.
  • Manage the integration of building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical) and related documentation, including clash detection within the BIM framework.
  • Collaborate with civil engineering teams to align their work with architectural designs.
  • Conduct site observations and report on construction progress.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information (RFIs), and prepare site observation reports as part of contract administration.
  • Assess building designs through the lens of sustainable design principles.
  • Lead project coordination and site meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, and contractors.
  • Engage in client project requirement discussions.
  • Contribute to value analysis and preliminary cost estimation.
  • Assist in drafting specifications in collaboration with building plans and specification writers.
  • Advise on the selection of building systems and materials.
  • Participate in constructability reviews.
  • Support the bidding and negotiation phases, including the preparation of addenda.
  • Oversee and direct external consultants, ensuring quality and progress of their work.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control for assigned projects.
  • Assist in formulating project budgets, schedules, and overall work plans.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
  • Provide mentorship, facilitating problem-solving while promoting personal and professional growth.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in hand sketching and effectively communicating concepts and ideas.
  • Knowledgeable in applying accessibility codes, building codes, and life-safety regulations across diverse project scopes.
  • Experienced with modeling and drafting software, particularly Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in architecture is essential. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required. Registration as an Architect in Texas is mandatory. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP credentials and educational experience are preferred.
