Key Responsibilities

  • Directs the team towards a clear vision and strategic goals for engineering solutions across multiple domains.
  • Provides continuous leadership for a team of managers and contributors, focusing on the design of engineering solutions and project management for products, systems, and software.
  • Oversees staffing, deliverables, timelines, and budgets for several concurrent projects and initiatives.
  • Ensures effective resource allocation and that objectives, schedules, and financial plans are adhered to as per the program and organizational strategies.
  • Engages with program managers, marketing teams, supply chain experts, technical leaders, and executives to relay project statuses, escalate issues, and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to enhance engineering products and solutions against critical performance indicators, identifying further opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
  • Manages relationships with external partners and suppliers, establishing clear expectations regarding deliverables, quality, timelines, and costs.
  • Facilitates effective communication and collaboration between team members and external resources; supports negotiations and the establishment of terms related to services and projects.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for process enhancements and cost-saving measures in alignment with business strategies.
  • Utilizes specialized knowledge to shape the knowledge base across various functions and provides strong leadership to drive change initiatives while monitoring performance metrics.
  • Conducts talent management responsibilities, including recruitment, performance evaluation, coaching, and career development.
  • Ensures that the necessary knowledge, performance standards, and career development resources are available to support ongoing team and process development.
Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience or 8-10 years in a managerial role, preferably in engineering design or related areas.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Agile Methodology
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with Angular (Web Framework)
