Role Responsibilities

The Information Security Lead will oversee and enhance the organization's information security framework to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. This role entails the formulation and execution of security policies, conducting risk evaluations, managing security incidents, and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will exhibit robust technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.

Key Duties Include:
  • Strategic Security Planning: Formulate and execute a holistic information security strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Risk Management: Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations to identify and address security threats.
  • Policy Development: Create, implement, and uphold security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • Security Operations: Supervise security systems, networks, and applications for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Management: Lead the response to security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for staff, fostering a culture of security consciousness throughout the organization.
  • Technology Oversight: Assess, implement, and manage security technologies and tools, staying abreast of emerging security trends and solutions.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in information security or cybersecurity.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security principles, compliance management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Practical experience in DevOps/Infrastructure/SRE roles with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and encryption in Linux environments.
