Position Overview

This role is designed for remote work, accommodating candidates from various states.

A Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer will engage with multiple teams within the Information Services sector to enhance the technological framework. Their specialization is in Azure Cloud Infrastructure and VMware, focusing on the management of infrastructure and services to ensure optimal availability, dependability, and scalability. Proficiency in both Azure and on-premises solutions, alongside Agile DevOps (ADO) practices, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecting, deploying, and overseeing cloud infrastructure and services to guarantee high levels of availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Advanced Azure administration and engineering for IaaS and PaaS, which includes monitoring, alerting, and optimization tasks.
  • Formulating and enforcing cloud security protocols to safeguard data and applications against unauthorized access and potential threats.
  • Experience with automation tools, including Azure CLI, PowerShell, Ansible (AWX), and GitHub for runbook management.
  • Overseeing automation tools to meet organizational requirements for runbooks, pipelines, and desired states.
  • Providing expert-level operational support for servers located in both on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, with some familiarity with Linux systems.
  • Effectively communicating across all organizational levels, facilitating technical discussions towards actionable outcomes.
  • Conducting advanced troubleshooting and developing solutions for complex service issues to restore services with minimal disruption.
  • Ensuring that production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure, and continuously monitored.
  • Participating in a regular on-call rotation schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a healthcare setting.
  • Prior involvement with Azure or on-premises environments, including policies, governance, automation, monitoring, architecture, and engineering.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Relevant Azure certification.
  • VMware certification.
