Analogic is on the lookout for a seasoned Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid history of designing switching amplifiers and power supplies from concept to completion. Expertise in designing and specifying magnetics from the ground up is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of various topologies such as H-bridge, Flyback, Resonant, Buck, and Boost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and engineer switching amplifiers and power supplies from initial design to final implementation, covering power supplies ranging from 100 W to 100 kW and amplifiers functioning at bus voltages between 400 V and 2400 V with output currents reaching up to 400 Arms and 1200 Apk.
  • Design and specify magnetics.
  • Diagnose mixed signal circuits down to the component level.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of development and testing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in designing switching power supplies or amplifiers.
  • Familiarity with IEC 60601 is beneficial, though not mandatory.
  • Experience with power supplies and amplifiers operating in the 20 kHz to 100 kHz frequency range.
  • Proficiency in basic switching topologies such as flyback, full H-bridge, forward, and resonant.
  • Experience with simulation software including LT Spice and Matlab.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture tools like OrCad/Allegro.
  • Hands-on experience in magnetics design is required.
  • Knowledge of software/firmware development with microprocessors and FPGAs is advantageous.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and follow electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
