Contract Duration: 5+ months with potential for extension
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, along with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of engineers to develop suitable testing strategies.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems in a server environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in standardized computer server testing software.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems that include high-speed digital and analog power subsystems.
- Familiarity with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers.
- Knowledge of communication protocols including Ethernet, Fiber Channel, USB, and SCSI/iSCSI.
- Understanding of PC-based server systems, their architectures, and various peripheral components.
- Experience with server-class processors and chipsets, including Intel Pentium, Xeon, and AMD Celeron, Opteron.
- Familiarity with interface and bus standards such as ATA/SATA, SCSI/Ultra SCSI/iSCSI, Ethernet, Fiber Channel, USB, and RS232.
- Knowledge of server components including hard disk drives (IDE, PATA, SATA, SCSI/uSCSI), network interface cards, bus extenders, and RAID controllers.
- Ability to create comprehensive and precise test plans.
- Capable of documenting and tracking test progress while working independently.
- Familiarity with CAE/CAD tools for schematic and board layout creation or review.
- Adherence to all relevant Business Management System (BMS) processes.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to draft reports and correspondence effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Competence in using word processing, spreadsheet applications, and electronic office tools.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Aptitude for identifying problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Commitment to established company core values.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
