Job Overview

Position Summary: As a technical expert focused on customer satisfaction, technicians at Robert Reiser & Co, Inc. will utilize advanced troubleshooting abilities, mechanical and electrical expertise, along with a solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, high voltage, three-phase, and electronic control systems to service both new and existing packaging machinery and their associated attachments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and service manuals to establish work procedures.
  • Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare machine orders for the processing department.
  • Reconcile component parts on customer machinery and retrieve parts for processing technicians.
  • Maintain general shop cleanliness and assist with upkeep.
  • Support senior technicians with various projects.
  • Conduct data entry into the company’s ERP system.
  • Engage in new projects aimed at enhancing the safety and efficiency of both existing and new equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, automotive, or technical roles, focusing on the servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical machinery.
  • A positive, can-do attitude coupled with a strong customer service orientation is essential.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, complex problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are advantageous but not required for this position.
