A Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is essential in maintaining the integrity and sustainability of hardware products. The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Testing and Validation:
  • Assess server performance in accordance with specifications such as ADR (Architectural Design Requirements), MRD (Market Requirements Document), and SOW (Statement of Work).
  • Execute stress and margin tests to confirm features and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies for server components, including disk drives, cards, processors, and memory modules.
  1. Documentation and Component Release:
  • Document and release components for both new and existing designs.
  • Oversee product introductions and modifications utilizing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools such as ECO (Engineering Change Order), PNR (Part Number Release), and PCN (Product Change Notification).
  1. Prototype Assessment and Failure Investigation:
  • Validate and document prototype platforms for preliminary evaluations and compliance tests.
  • Conduct level 3 failure analysis on field returns and yield challenges, collaborating with suppliers as necessary.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Engage closely with quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams.
  • Coordinate and review testing strategies with a team of engineers to ensure alignment.
  1. Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Possess knowledge of standardized server testing software and electrical system troubleshooting.
  • Understand server systems architecture and peripheral components.
  • Ability to create comprehensive test plans and grasp thermal/electrical principles.
