About the Role

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Business Development Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and counsel to management and client organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Promote a customer-first culture and deliver outstanding results for customers.
  • Business Analysis: Gather and analyze critical information from various sources, including demographics, costs, and lifecycle data.
  • Process Improvement: Audit business system data, examine actuals against targets, and develop recommendations for management.
  • Strategic Planning: Identify and recommend long-range asset data management and system improvements to balance risk and reward.
  • Financial Management: Develop and approve long-range programs for assets, implement optimum life cycle and companion costs models, and manage the budget process.
  • Communication: Report complex financial information in simple terms and communicate effectively throughout the organization.
  • Expertise: Maintain financial integrity of FERC data and provide expert advice on financial matters.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in an applicable field directly related to position responsibilities.
  • Skills: Program design skills, advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with personal computers.
  • Leadership: Project management and leadership skills, including the ability to work as a team member and maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of research, analysis, and consulting techniques, as well as Company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Preferences
  • Utility Operations Experience: Previous experience in a financial or program support role in the utility industry.
  • Grant Management: Experience working with federal grants and portfolio management, including utility projects under one or more programs.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory or lead experience is desired.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to manage client and vendor relationships.
