Job Summary

As a Technical Supervisor - Ride Maintenance at Universal Orlando, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, controls, and animation maintenance activities for rides and attractions in your area of responsibility. You will contribute to routine, capital, and expense budgeting and set direction and priorities for all maintenance functions in your area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Ride Maintenance: Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment is maintained in like new condition, respond to attraction interruptions, and work to resolve issues in an expedient manner.
  • Oversee Planning and Scheduling: Manage preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and part procurement for your area of responsibility.
  • Lead Technical Staff: Supervise and lead training and development of direct reports, administer development plans, and manage schedules and personnel records.
  • Ensure Operational Throughput: Execute a preventative and predictive maintenance plan to minimize downtime, maintain records of completed maintenance, and coordinate work efforts with operational needs.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all areas of responsibility are in compliance with ASTM F-24 guidelines and original manufacturer's requirements, and prioritize safety above all else.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Focus on controlling budgets, monitoring overtime, and contributing to the building of capital and expense plans.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety: Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Scope and Requirements

You will manage all maintenance activities for rides, shows, and guest interactive areas for your specific area, manage routine, expense, and capital budgets, and supervise all hourly personnel in your area.

Education and Experience
  • Education: High school degree or GED is required, technical school is preferred, and an Associate's degree (AA) in General Education or Technology is preferred.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years in technical and trade experience are required, 1 to 3 years supervisory experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Information
  • NAARSO Level 1 Certification: Required within one year of service hire date.
