POSITION SUMMARY:

This role oversees the technical operations of all entertainment venues within a designated park or event productions, ensuring high-quality performances and an exceptional guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the daily technical operations and quality assurance of all entertainment venues within the assigned park, including overseeing all personnel in each technical entertainment discipline, such as rigging, staging, lighting, audio, scenic design, special effects, and pyrotechnics.
  • Effectively communicate vital information regarding the entertainment operations of the assigned park to relevant parties outside the Entertainment Department, as well as to upper management and team members within the department.
  • Ensure appropriate technical staffing for all entertainment venues within the assigned park, which includes interviewing and selecting candidates, as well as managing scheduling to guarantee optimal technical performance.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director of Entertainment to develop and execute strategic plans aimed at enhancing and improving all entertainment venues within the assigned park, including special events.
  • Provide guidance and support to Entertainment Supervisors regarding operational and employee relations matters. Ensure that all Technical Entertainment staff attend necessary training sessions and encourage participation in educational opportunities to enhance job performance.
  • Actively engage in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to established policies, procedures, and training, as well as promoting team member involvement activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the professional entertainment or theme park industry is required.
  • 5-7 years in a management or supervisory role is preferred;
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
