In this role, you will support critical operations as part of a significant contract, engaging with one of the premier testing facilities globally. Your contributions will play a vital role in every space mission that involves atmospheric entry.

The position of Computer Systems Security Analyst necessitates a comprehensive understanding of federal security regulations, standards, and processes, including FISMA, FIPS, FedRAMP, and NIST guidelines. A solid grasp of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization is essential, along with experience in evaluating and generating mitigation reports from compliance and vulnerability assessment tools.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and communicate opportunities for operational efficiency and address any discrepancies. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to resolve Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
2. Demonstrated experience in managing the assessment, implementation, and accreditation of information systems.
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders throughout the assessment and accreditation processes.
4. Review and produce comprehensive technical documentation regarding the security posture of information systems across their entire development lifecycle.
5. Conduct ongoing monitoring through scheduled audits, control testing, and audit reviews, escalating issues as necessary. Ensure tracking of POAM deadlines and facilitate remediation discussions with business partners.
6. Document and verify compliance with mandated security policies.
7. Enter data related to system security plans, POA&Ms, and Risk-Based Decisions (RBDs).
8. Provide support and training for RSA Archer/RISCS users, including inline and bulk editing functionalities.
9. Develop policies, procedures, and standards for the secure deployment and maintenance of IT systems, offering internal management and technical guidance.
10. Contribute clear written input for monthly or other reports as required by management.

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work across multiple environments (office, testing facility, control room, laboratory, etc.). Requires transportation of materials such as notebooks and instruments. Must have the ability to hear normal conversations and have at least one eye correctable to 20/20 vision. Ability to distinguish colors on basic displays and handle delicate instruments.

Work Environment:

Work will be conducted in an office, control room, and various testing facility locations, necessitating movement between these areas and occasional visits to client facilities. Some environments may be noisy.

Equipment Utilized:

Office and control room tools include computers, calculators, electronic and mechanical instruments, and precision measuring devices.

Attendance Expectations:

Standard working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. A flexible schedule with compressed workdays may be available. While some tasks can be performed remotely, site visits may be required based on specific assignments.

Additional Requirements:

Must be eligible to obtain a NASA badge and access work facilities.

The salary range for this position is between $112,000 and $130,300, reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all US locations. Individual compensation will be determined based on work location and other factors, including relevant skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/IT, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as ISSO, ISSM, Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst, or RISC Analyst.
3. Familiarity with federal security regulations, standards, and processes, including FISMA, FIPS, FedRAMP, and NIST guidelines.
4. Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
5. Experience in reviewing and creating mitigation reports from compliance and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, SCAP).
6. Proficiency with Governance, Risk, and Compliance tools and technologies, such as RSA Archer.
7. Excellent writing skills for clear communication of all relevant documentation and analyses.
8. Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and an effective communicator capable of working independently.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio.
10. Must be able to obtain a NASA badge and pass a Security Clearance as required.
