As a Computer Systems Security Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting federal security regulations and processes. Your expertise will encompass knowledge of standards such as FISMA, FIPS, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-37, among others. A solid grasp of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization is essential, along with experience in generating and reviewing compliance and vulnerability assessment reports.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and communicate efficiency opportunities and nuances, working closely with various stakeholders to address Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
2. Demonstrate a proven history of managing the assessment, deployment, and accreditation of information systems.
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders during the assessment and accreditation processes.
4. Review and produce comprehensive technical documentation regarding the security posture of information systems throughout their development lifecycle.
5. Conduct continuous monitoring through scheduled audits, controls testing, and audit reviews, escalating issues as necessary. Ensure timely tracking of POAM due dates and facilitate remediation discussions with business partners.
6. Document and verify compliance with mandated security policies.
7. Input system security plan data, POA&Ms, and Risk-Based Decisions (RBDs) accurately.
8. Provide support and training for RSA Archer/RISCS users, including inline and bulk-editing functionalities.
9. Develop policies, procedures, and standards for the secure deployment and maintenance of IT systems, offering internal management and technical guidance.
10. Contribute clear and concise written input for monthly or other management-required reports.

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work across multiple environments (office, test facility, control room, laboratory, etc.). Tasks may require transporting materials such as notebooks and instruments. Ability to hear normal conversations and have vision correctable to 20/20 is necessary. Must distinguish colors on basic displays and handle delicate instruments.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office and control room, as well as in and around test facility buildings. Movement between these areas is required, along with occasional visits to client facilities. Some environments may be noisy.

Equipment Utilized:

Office and control room tools include computers, calculators, electronic instruments, and precision measuring devices.

Attendance Requirements:

Standard working hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with options for a compressed schedule. Some tasks may be performed remotely, but site visits may be necessary based on assignments.

Additional Functions:

Must be eligible to obtain necessary security clearances and access to work facilities.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/IT, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
2. Over 5 years of experience in roles such as ISSO, ISSM, Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst, or RISC Analyst.
3. Familiarity with federal security regulations and standards including FISMA, FIPS, FedRAMP, and NIST.
4. Strong understanding of security protocols and cryptography.
5. Experience in reviewing and creating compliance and vulnerability reports using tools like Nessus.
6. Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance tools such as RSA Archer.
7. Excellent writing skills for clear communication of technical documents.
8. Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio.
10. Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances and access to facilities as required.
