Patient Access Representative II

The Patient Access Representative II (PAR II) plays a vital role in the ambulatory team, providing both administrative and clinical support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. This dynamic role requires a unique blend of skills, including administrative duties, clinical responsibilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Duties: Greet patients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, execute daily insurance verifications, complete patient registrations, maintain accurate records, and perform administrative tasks to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Manage patient flow, prepare medical records, participate in team huddles, room patients, assist providers with medical histories, document in the electronic health record, check vital signs, perform screening questionnaires, and communicate with patients to set expectations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
- Certifications: Current AHA Basic Life Support Certification.
- Linguistic Capabilities: Ability to write and verbally communicate in English, with knowledge of a second language preferred.
- Work Experience: Current experience as a Medical Assistant, with experience in administrative duties in a clinical setting preferred.
