Patient Access Representative II

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team. This role will provide administrative and clinical support to our ambulatory site, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and facilitating patient flow.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and families in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and take accurate messages
- Schedule patient appointments electronically and execute daily insurance verifications
- Complete patient registration and obtain consent for treatment
- Process prescription refill requests and scan documents into medical records
- Assist with referrals and coordinate specialty appointments
- Perform administrative duties to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement
- Manage patient flow through the clinic, preparing medical records and gathering information
- Room patients, assist providers with medical histories, and document in the electronic health record
- Check vital signs and perform point-of-care testing as needed
- Communicate with patients and families to set expectations and provide clear information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
- AHA Basic Life Support Certification
- Ability to write and verbally communicate in English
- Knowledge of a second language preferred
