POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Senior Transportation Manager, the Fleet Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Internal Fleet Leadership Team, overseeing the operations of Circle K's proprietary fleet.

The ideal candidate will manage daily transportation activities, ensuring efficient operations and team performance.

Collaboration with management is essential to maintain optimal staffing levels, ensuring that the fleet meets service demands and operational goals through performance analysis and market assessment.

This role requires a presence in the operational areas, and remote work is not an option.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Overall management of the Hazmat tanker fleet, including drivers and maintenance operations.
Possession of a CDL Class A driver's license with Hazmat endorsement is mandatory, as the role may involve fuel transportation.

Ensuring compliance with DOT regulations regarding ELD hours and working time directives is critical.

Proactively addressing health and safety concerns while ensuring adherence to legal standards within the fleet.

Daily operational challenges, such as vehicle maintenance and adverse weather conditions, will require immediate attention to uphold service quality.

Involvement in the recruitment, training, and daily oversight of drivers is essential.
Ensuring that drivers operate safely and comply with all applicable laws is a key responsibility.

Effective resource management of the driver pool is necessary to prevent service disruptions.

Ensuring that new hires receive comprehensive training and are suitable for their roles is vital.

Conflict resolution among staff is necessary to maintain a positive work environment.

Assisting fuel dispatch to guarantee adequate driving capacity to meet demand is part of the role.
Creating weekly and monthly production plans for drivers is required.
Coordination with distribution planning teams and local management is essential.
Monitoring driver performance against key metrics, including utilization and compliance, is necessary.
Ensuring equipment efficiency and uptime is a priority for operational improvement.
Management of telematics systems to achieve desired KPIs is required.
On-call responsibilities for managing out-of-hours incidents will be part of the role.
Collaboration with management on health, safety, security, and environmental compliance is crucial.
Adherence to DOT regulations and internal fleet management guidelines is mandatory.
Continuous improvement in cost-effective operations is expected.
Collaboration with project and development teams to ensure compliance with IT systems is necessary.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in fuel distribution and 3 years in fleet supervision is required.

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is preferred.
Experience with dispatch software such as People Net, TMW, or Telapoint is necessary.
