Fleet Operations Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:
MV Transportation is on the lookout for a Fleet Operations Maintenance Supervisor who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily maintenance functions of our microtransit services. This position is crucial for ensuring that all operational standards and contractual obligations are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
The Fleet Operations Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the comprehensive management of maintenance activities, including the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports. This role requires a strong ability to manage a maintenance budget effectively.
In this position, you will lead a team of over ten maintenance personnel, including technicians, service workers, and cleaners, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. You will also manage a fleet of over 85 vehicles in a microtransit setting.
Collaboration with clients and vendors is essential, as well as the ability to maintain accurate inventories of parts and supplies. You will prioritize and implement work schedules, projects, and assignments to meet operational goals.
Additionally, you will oversee the financial and accounting aspects of the fleet maintenance operations, ensuring that all processes are conducted with professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a similar role within a transit operation is required. Experience in managing a team of technicians and service workers is essential. Familiarity with passenger transportation operations is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to interact effectively with all levels of staff. Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, is expected. Technical knowledge in light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance is crucial, along with a solid understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
Additional certifications such as ASE or manufacturer-specific qualifications are advantageous. Experience with diesel, CNG, and alternative fuel vehicles is a plus. A valid CDL class B license with passenger and airbrake endorsements is required.
Compensation:
The starting salary range for this position is between $117,000 and $144,000.
