About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Facilities and Fleet Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of city buildings and vehicles, ensuring that our facilities and fleet are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of our facilities and fleet.
  • Collaborate with other city departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of city funds.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and city policies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in public works and/or maintenance services, with at least 3+ years of experience at a level equivalent to Maintenance Lead Worker.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, preferably with experience in building and fleet maintenance.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a small-town atmosphere with an engaged public.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively both verbally and in writing.
