Key Responsibilities

  • Documenting customer invoices and maintaining accounts receivable records to ensure prompt cash collection.
  • Processing vendor invoices and ensuring accurate posting to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
  • Conducting credit card reconciliations and ensuring proper coding for transactions in the Expensify platform.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end closing activities while upholding a structured system of accounting policies.
  • Coordinating with payroll consultants for timely preparation of timecards and payroll reports, managing specific financial projects as directed.
  • Contributing to the accurate reporting of monthly financial data and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Managing daily banking tasks, transaction processing, and assisting with compliance activities for monthly and quarterly banking requirements.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and support departmental financial objectives.
  • Monitoring and analyzing departmental workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining accuracy, providing analytical support for financial initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and participating in financial audits.
  • Addressing ad-hoc financial inquiries from management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental accounting procedures and principles.
  • Experience with the full cycle of accounts receivable processes is advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
