Varantec, Inc. is in search of a proficient Senior Program Control Specialist to deliver essential program oversight support to our Government clientele.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust background in resource and acquisition management, possess an expert-level comprehension of NRO policies, procedures, and tools, and exhibit the capability to evaluate intricate program performance and advancement towards objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


Evaluate the Directorate's budget implementation, employing suitable methodologies to assess the effects of emerging trends and guarantee that the program's trajectory aligns with available resources and objectives.


Conduct cross-program evaluations to ascertain the implications of program performance and progress relative to plans; identify resources necessary to achieve designated goals and objectives; recognize resource trade-offs within and among competing programs and propose resource alternatives.


Collaborate with the Program Office technical team to assess resource requirements, ensuring the alignment and accuracy of budget estimates and necessities for both new and ongoing projects.


Support Directorate budget initiatives and the formulation of the Intelligence Program Budget Submission (IPBS), Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB), Congressional Justification Book (CJB), and Unfunded Requirements (UFR).


Assist the Directorate in providing Budget Line Items (BLIs), Request for Contract Action (RCA), Funds from Others (FFO), Funds to Others (FTO), Funds Transfer Requests (FTR), and other funding documentation utilizing the appropriate tools and forms.


Contribute to the development of briefing packages to facilitate NRO program status and requirements reviews, program management reviews, business management reviews, and earned value management. Validate data across various budgeting execution applications and resolve any discrepancies between requirements and budgets.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business-related field, coupled with 12 years of pertinent experience.


Preference will be given to candidates with experience utilizing NRO tools such as NRO Execution Tool (NEXT), NEAR, NFIS, FIT, FIRsT, EpX Studio, among others.

Familiarity with NRO policies regarding appropriations, expenditure types, budget codes, and Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) is essential.

Understanding of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations, and principles of accounting and finance is required.

Demonstrated knowledge of IC budgetary principles and procedures is crucial.


Comprehensive understanding of acquisition management regulations, practices, policies, and procedures, including lifecycle resource planning for major system acquisitions and the development of Acquisition Program Baselines.

Applicants must possess a TS/SCI with CI poly.
