Position Overview

The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist will be an integral member of the NetJets Cybersecurity Services team, providing expertise in various domains including: Vulnerability Assessment; Endpoint Protection Strategies; Email Defense Mechanisms; Security Data Analysis; Coordination of Remediation Efforts; Threat Landscape Analysis; Advising diverse teams on cyber risks and mitigation strategies; and other essential Security and Compliance initiatives.

This role requires close collaboration with Security Incident Responders, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts, and Cybersecurity Architects to enhance the overall security framework of the organization. Responsibilities include testing, monitoring, and maintaining information systems (IS) along with cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring proper access management for hardware, firmware, and software. The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist will uphold and maintain IS and cybersecurity controls, policies, and procedures, identifying and mitigating security risks through leading investigations into security breaches and recommending measures to prevent future incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify security vulnerabilities and areas for enhancement to facilitate secure global operations through continuous assessment and fortification of existing Cybersecurity Infrastructure.
  • Implement practices and system configurations to safeguard information systems assets against unauthorized access or destruction.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to deliver security solutions that align with their operational needs.
  • Formulate tactical and strategically prioritized remediation plans to address security deficiencies, ensuring timely communication of risks to management.
  • Mentor and cultivate the skills of team members.
  • Stay informed on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, privacy regulations, and communicate findings with the team.
  • Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and standards based on directives from Corporate Security Management.
  • Recommend updates to security policies and practices in line with legal changes.
  • Research mechanisms and tools for compliance control.
  • Participate in periodic audits to ensure ongoing compliance across business entities.
  • Provide Incident Response support as required across the enterprise and business units.
  • Offer consultative security expertise to business units and Corporate IT teams in support of various projects.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of real-time alerts.
  • Track and report policy violations as necessary.
Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

  • Preferred certifications: CISA; CISSP; CEH; GSEC; Security+
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • 4-6+ years of experience with compliance standards (PCI/DSS, SOX, FedRAMP, HIPAA, etc.).
  • 4-6+ years in an Information Technology security role.
  • Understanding of network and security technologies (NextGen firewalls, vulnerability management, endpoint security, DLP, etc.).
  • Able to manage shifting workloads while prioritizing effectively and delivering quality service within deadlines.
  • Capacity to learn new technologies and apply that knowledge in daily operations.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of independent research and work.
  • Team-oriented, collaborating effectively with senior team members and management.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
