Position: Senior Chemical Engineering Specialist

Power H2 is in search of a Senior Chemical Engineering Specialist to contribute to the advancement of innovative technologies in energy storage solutions.

Our focus lies in the development of reversible fuel cell systems and electrolysis technologies. We are looking for a seasoned professional in chemical systems engineering. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
  • A master's or PhD in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pertinent industrial experience is desired.
  • Experience in fuel cells, electrolysis, energy storage, gas processing, and/or electrochemical systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in refining and troubleshooting system designs to enhance cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and operational simplicity.
  • Familiarity with developing process flow diagrams and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Experience with advanced development projects, such as those associated with NASA, military applications, or ARPA-E.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with benchtop processes and prototype designs.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams, including multidisciplinary groups.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design and development of chemical engineering systems, including fuel cells and electrolyzers.
  • Lead investigations related to laboratory synthesis, fuel cell/electrolyzer design, and pilot-scale production.
  • Engage in process modeling (knowledge of relevant software is a plus).
  • Compile, reduce, review, and analyze data.
  • Document findings and results through reports, presentations, and proposals.
