Role Summary: The Cybersecurity Specialist plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Cyber Security infrastructure at AMP. This includes various systems such as data storage, telecommunications, and information security protocols.

The specialist is tasked with ensuring the secure operation of these systems while providing support for continuous operations. Responsibilities include analyzing server and firewall logs, monitoring network traffic, and addressing vulnerabilities. Additionally, the role involves assisting technical teams in the development and execution of new IT systems, tracking project progress, and offering insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Secure the virtualized/server infrastructure environment, both on-premises and in cloud settings.
  2. Coordinate cyber security activities related to server platforms and data storage with internal and external resources.
  3. Troubleshoot network security issues and develop solutions to enhance user connectivity.
  4. Collaborate with ERP and SCADA teams to provide cyber security support and address project objectives.
  5. Participate in IT project management methodologies and processes.
  6. Deliver multi-level cyber security support across various environments.
  7. Ensure that performance and availability standards are met or exceeded.
  8. Recommend and implement standards for corporate servers and data storage.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop proposals for new cyber security technologies.
  10. Engage in cyber security and technical innovation initiatives.
  11. Provide systems development guidance to IT teams and management.
  12. Participate in weekend and off-peak hour implementations as part of a rotating on-call support team.

Job Breakdown:

  • 40% - Cyber Security Network and Systems Administration, Monitoring, and Support
  • 20% - Cyber Security Systems Implementation and Design
  • 20% - Cyber Security System, Network, and Training Documentation
  • 10% - End-user and Field Support
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Qualifications:

  1. A four-year degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering is preferred; or four years of relevant experience.
  2. At least one year of hands-on experience in network and system implementation in a high-availability environment.
  3. Expertise in managing Microsoft Cloud offerings and security products.
  4. Familiarity with scripting solutions such as Python and PowerShell.
  5. Experience in vulnerability management and applying CIS Critical Security Controls.
  6. Understanding of network segmentation, OSI model, and routing protocols.
  7. Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
