$107,000 - $160,500 plus annual bonus

The Cybersecurity division at NiSource is dedicated to safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its assets to fulfill the company's mission.

This team implements a variety of strategies to shield the organization from emerging threats in a constantly changing environment.

The Cybersecurity Program Coordinator is tasked with overseeing and directing cybersecurity initiatives and projects.

In this capacity, you will guide cross-functional teams utilizing Agile and waterfall methodologies to meet cybersecurity goals.

Your role will involve project planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk management while maintaining a solid grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals.

The Cybersecurity Program Coordinator will promote teamwork, facilitate collaboration, and align project objectives with security standards, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of secure solutions.

Your responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to:


Agile Leadership:
Lead and mentor cross-functional cybersecurity teams in Agile practices, such as Scrum, to enhance project outcomes.

Project Development:
Create and sustain project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

Scrum Management:

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure adherence to Agile principles and continuous improvement.


Resource Allocation:
Distribute resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure project success.

Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities related to the project and devise mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and cybersecurity professionals, to ensure alignment with project objectives.


Project Oversight:
Supervise the execution of cybersecurity projects, including the implementation of security measures, software updates, and infrastructure improvements.

Quality Control:
Ensure all project components comply with cybersecurity standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Oversight:
Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and report financial status to senior management.

Documentation Management:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status updates, and post-project assessments.

Change Oversight:
Effectively manage alterations in project scope, objectives, and deliverables, assessing their impact on timelines and budgets.

Vendor Coordination:
If necessary, collaborate with external vendors and third-party service providers to ensure project success.

Cybersecurity Knowledge:
Stay informed about cybersecurity best practices, threats, and technologies to make informed decisions during project execution.

You must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber or infrastructure project management
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $3M
  • Experience with resource capacity planning

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the utilities sector
  • Networking and/or cybersecurity experience
  • Physical security project management
  • Experience with cloud-based, SaaS, and on-premises application implementation and integration
  • PMP certification
  • Agile certification
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Certifications (CISSP, CISM or equivalent) are a plus
