Position Summary

The Industrial Engineering Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the production of medical device capital equipment. This position involves direct engagement with our Production Supervisor and focuses on practical engineering tasks. Responsibilities will include investigating production challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement lean methodologies, and enhancing assembly processes to boost operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational workflows to identify opportunities for productivity enhancement.
  • Design and optimize production processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards in all processes.
  • Minimize waste and resolve production-related issues.
  • Review and assess production schedules, processes, and specifications.
  • Utilize data analysis to drive technological advancements in production methods.
  • Establish controls to monitor costs and mitigate production challenges.
  • Assess potential facility locations and contribute to facility design considerations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to formulate production standards.
  • Design layouts and determine personnel requirements for production operations.
  • Assist in creating instructional materials for production staff.
  • Promote safety in work processes and address any safety concerns.
  • Generate documentation and reports related to production processes.

Internship Experience

Interns will gain valuable exposure to various operational and product development aspects within Bracco Medical Technologies. This experience will provide insights into the regulatory requirements of the medical device industry.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in manufacturing, industrial, electrical, mechanical, systems, or biomedical engineering, ideally entering their third year.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time commitment of 24-32 hours per week.
