Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality. This role involves assessing production capabilities, determining workflow, and managing documentation to maintain operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and refine manufacturing methods in response to evolving technologies and equipment.
  2. Generate cost estimates for new and revised products, employing value engineering to minimize expenses.
  3. Evaluate the manufacturability of new designs, providing insights for make/buy decisions based on cost and quality.
  4. Propose alternative manufacturing strategies that meet performance and cost objectives while adhering to timelines.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve quality and productivity issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  6. Identify needs for capital equipment and tooling, overseeing procurement and implementation processes.
  7. Represent manufacturing interests on product development teams, ensuring readiness for new product launches.
  8. Assist in qualifying new suppliers and components by establishing requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  9. Implement lean and six sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and quality while reducing waste.
  10. Facilitate the resolution of manufacturing challenges to optimize resources and improve quality.
  11. Maintain strong communication and foster positive employee relations.
  12. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain personal discipline in a professional setting.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
  • Technical proficiency and aptitude.
  • Flexibility to provide support across multiple shifts.
